The Missions Ministry exists to lead GHBC to radiate outward in evangelism and missions. This involves informing, mobilizing, and equipping the congregation to become Global Christians participating in a balanced Acts 1:8 plan for global evangelism.
You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth. Acts 1:8
How You Can Be Involved
Go on a trip.
Pray. Contact Becky Dean at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive monthly newsletters.
Give to the missions ministry, online or on Sunday morning.
To PRAY without ceasing that the hearts of GHBC members, and the hearts of people worldwide, will be receptive to God’s calling and obedient to His direction.
To GIVE of our resources, corporately and individually, locally and globally, so that all may know Jesus as Lord and Savior.
To GO participate in making disciples of all the nations and baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and teaching them His commands.
For us to be on mission with God, we must join Him where He is working. Therefore, personalized involvement by GHBC members is a critical factor in how GHBC develops and implements strategies. Our strategies will:
1) prioritize evangelism,
2) concentrate on church planting,
3) focus on the unreached, and
4) follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
The partnership paradigm is a biblical one (Philippians 1:3-6) that involves two or more entities working together to accomplish more than any of them could alone. Partnership, which is God’s people working together to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ, is crucial. Partners play a key role in helping GHBC refine, develop, and implement strategies to reach various cultures within our geographic designations. Partners may be local churches, missionaries, denominational and para-church mission organizations, church planters, or nationals.
To apply for partnership , contact the GHBC office at (512) 343-7763 ext. 402.
For information on current partners, contact Becky Dean at email@example.com.
The Missions Committee meets regularly to consider issues, requests, and strategies, and to seek God’s guidance for the direction of the ministry.
