This Week @ Great Hills

April 17, 2015

God hears us when we pray and He answers.  On Easter Sunday I asked people to stand who were seeking God for a blessing and miracle in their lives.  Many stood and I am now receiving reports from them. It is amazing to hear how God has blessed and intervened in their lives.  Thank You, Lord, for always answering our prayers.  At times His answer is a swift yes of blessing, but at other times He lovingly tells us no because He just knows more than we do.  There are also times when God tells us to be patient and wait.

Last week God blessed us with a wonderful Global Impact Celebration!  Mike Mericle, Jane Groves, and a small army of volunteers made it happen and I say a heartfelt thank you to all who helped serve.  Thank you also to those of you who participated in the various events last week.  Our missionaries were very blessed by your love and care for them.  Our guest speakers did an outstanding job sharing the messages God laid on their hearts.  God wants every member of GHBC to be involved in some way in global missions.  Have you found your place in God’s story?  How does He want you to pray, give, and go?  Our church offers many opportunities for you to go and serve.  If you need some guidance, please let Mike or someone on our missions team assist you.

On Sunday, contemporary Christian artist Josh Wilson will be with us to lead in our morning worship and then give a concert that evening at 6:00.  He is frequently heard on radio stations all over America and I am looking forward to having him here.  Also, we will be back in the book of Revelation. Our text is chapter 14, verses 1-5. We will look at the lives of some champions for Christ that will motivate and inspire you.  Pray for me, please, as I prepare and then preach this message on Sunday.

All In high attendance day at Great Hills is next Sunday, April 26.  We are anticipating a great day with many guests and some fun fellowship after the service.  We are providing a free lunch for all who come. Also, I have been asked to do something that I have not done in many years!  So come and bring someone with you and let us be “All In” for this special day.

Finally, help us get the word out that GHBC is back on local TV on KBVO in the greater Austin area.  Our 30-minute broadcast is entitled “The Radiant Life” and airs each Sunday morning at 7:30.

Have a blessed weekend and see you Sunday.
