I hope you are enjoying a wonderful Christmas Season with your family and friends. It was a blessing to see so many come out for our annual Christmas Eve service. There is a special bond that we share as members of the body of Christ, and times like Tuesday night remind me of how blessed we are to participate in Christian fellowship and worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Ashley and our kids and I all traveled to Alabama on Christmas Day to spend time with our families. We look forward to being able to unwind and rest for a few days and then hit the ground full steam at the beginning of the New Year. On Sunday, GHBC will be blessed to hear one of God’s finest men, Jimmy Draper, as he preaches the Word of God. Pastor Jimmy served for many years as the lead pastor of FBC Euless, Texas, and also served as the president of LifeWay Christian Resources in Nashville, Tennessee. He and his wife, Carol Ann, are some of the most outstanding people you will ever meet, and we are so very blessed and honored to have both him and Carol Ann with us on Sunday.
We have not reached our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering goal of $100,000 for international missions, nor have we brought in enough money in 2013 to cover our budget expenditures. However, I am confident that we will accomplish both goals before January 1. Please give generously to your local church family so we can finish the year in a very strong and positive way. I believe we will do it!
May God continue to bless you and your loved ones during this holiday season.
