God continues to work in and through our church and I am grateful. There are many exciting ministries taking place. On Sunday we will have our monthly Children’s Worship in the Children’s Worship Room on the second floor of Building C. Our kids love this time, and I appreciate Jennifer Angle and all the adult volunteers who make this ministry possible. When we get enough adult volunteers we will be able to offer this ministry on a weekly basis. Pray about helping us and if interested, please contact Jennifer.
Our 2015 Divergent Weekend / Disciple Now is quickly approaching. We have many students registered to participate and it is going to be fantastic. Daniel VanCleave, Erica Villarreal, and so many others are working diligently to make this a powerful weekend for our great students. Please pray that God moves in power, and that when the weekend culminates on Sunday, March 1, our entire church family will be impacted.
On Sunday I will preach a message entitled “Hallelujah, He Reigns!” based on Revelation 11:15-19. This text is a powerful reminder for God’s people that no matter how dark or grim things are in this world, there is coming a day when God intervenes and saves the day. I love the way John states it: “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”
Finally, please pray for me as I preach tonight in Waxahachie, Texas, to a group of full-time itinerant evangelists at their annual retreat. Then on Saturday, Ashley and I will be in Dallas and have the opportunity to watch our sons play tennis for Dallas Baptist University as they compete with St. Edward’s University from Austin. I am grateful for God’s blessings and protection over my family.
See you Sunday as we gather to worship the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
