Thank you for your attention and interest in the State-of-the-Church message I preached last Sunday. We rejoice in all God has done in 2014, what He is currently doing, and the future that awaits us. We will be sharing many more details regarding our Building Vision campaign as we undertake the updates and remodels to our church campus in the future.
We will resume our study in the book of Revelation on Sunday. Our text is Revelation 10:1-11 and the title of the sermon is “A Mighty Angel and The Little Book.” It is a very fascinating passage of Scripture and I look forward to studying it with you Sunday morning.
Last Sunday we had a very good meeting with all of our Bible Life Group leadership. Ross Hartsfield, our Education Pastor, cast a vision for us on how we can reach even more people and assimilate them into our BLGs in the upcoming year. I am grateful to the host of people who lead out in our weekly Bible Life Groups.
Daniel VanCleave, our Student Pastor, will be meeting with all of our students and their parents on Sunday. During this lunch and meeting Daniel will share many exciting upcoming events for 2015. There are so many amazing things God is doing in and through our student ministry here at Great Hills.
We will offer a children’s worship service for children in grades 1–5 beginning January 25 at 11:00am. Jennifer Angle, our Children’s Director, is looking for volunteers to assist in this new and fun ministry for our children. For more information, you can contact Jennifer at the church office or reach her by e-mail at email@example.com.
This weekend Ross and I will be preaching the funeral messages for Dewey Murdock and Peggy Tisdel, respectively. Our hearts go out to their families and loved ones. It is a powerful testimony to the fellowship and love of our church family to see how our church rallies around those who have experienced tremendous loss and grief.
I will see many of you tonight at the THRIVE marriage event at 6:30pm. I hope you have a blessed and safe weekend and I look forward to seeing you on the Lord’s day.
