Upward. Inward. Outward. We hear a lot about our Radiant Church core values, and what a blessing it is to see our church embracing these foundational elements of a local church—worship, discipleship, and missions/evangelism. Last week I taught our new member class and God added another 14 people to our church! God continues to bless and grow us numerically, financially, and spiritually. Thank you for your faithfulness in serving, praying, and tithing. Great Hills is radiant because of her members, people just like you who are passionate for Jesus, growing in His Word, and sharing your faith both in Austin and around the world.
On Sunday we will continue our study of Revelation which began last week. I will continue to give an overview of the Book of Revelation and will preach through verse 3 of chapter 1. God is amazing. Last Sunday we had our largest crowd in many Sundays and our offering to budget was $157,554. I praise the Lord and thank you for being so faithful and generous.
This Sunday I will introduce a new missions initiative called Buckets of Hope. It is a simple yet powerful way to impact people, both physically and eternally. Speaking of Sunday, I know I have shared this before, but I still need to ask you to please, please arrive on time for our 9:30 Bible Life and 11:00 Worship Service. If you are a Bible Life teacher, you should be finished no later than 10:35 so that your people will have time to make it to the worship center. And please continue to greet the guests around you, especially when the service is over. A couple in our new members class told us that Ralph and Denise Gonzales asked them to lunch after their first visit to Great Hills and it meant a great deal to them!
Finally, we are continuing our thorough search for a student pastor—praying, seeking, fasting, researching, interviewing, etc., all the things we know are so important when looking for a pastor. Thank you for your prayers and patience. We have amazing students and adult leaders who make our student ministry outstanding.
See you Sunday.
