Earlier this week I sent out an update on the completion of the land deal with Greystar Corporation. God has truly blessed us and answered our prayers. One of my primary objectives when I became pastor in June 2010 was to help our church get out of debt. This ground lease and subsequent sale of the 3.75 acres on the corner of Jollyville and Morado Cove will make this dream of being debt-free a definite reality. Soon you will begin to see the northeast corner of our property being prepped for construction. It will be a very large building and will necessitate the relocation of our Garden of Hope from its current location to the outside perimeter of the Great Hall. Immediately after our worship service on Sunday I invite you to join me on the corner lot as I lead us in a prayer that will focus on the hundreds of people that God will place as residents in the new senior living apartments that will be constructed on this property.
Sunday was simply a wonderful day in our church. I have heard so many say how very blessed they were. God truly visited us. Thank you, Jessica Kowalski, for sharing your powerful testimony! You could just sense the power of the Holy Spirit!
If you are looking for a great place to serve in our church, we have an opportunity for you. Ross Hartsfield is revamping our First Impressions Ministry and we need many more volunteers to help us in this crucial ministry of making guests feel welcome. We have around twenty people on this team and we need about fifty. If you would like to serve, please contact Ross at email@example.com.
Next week is Spring Break for many. I know some of you will be traveling and I pray that God blesses and protects you in your travels. Many of our regular activities are canceled next week due to Spring Break, including our men’s Proverbs Study on Thursday.
Don’t forget to spring forward and set your clocks ahead one hour on Saturday night. Yes, you will lose an hour of sleep, but we gain an extra hour of daylight.
Have a blessed weekend.
Psalm 126:3, “The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad.”
