This Week @ Great Hills

March 6, 2015

God richly blessed our mission to South Asia.  Mike and Claudia Mericle and I have seen so very much over these last few days that we are still processing all that we have beheld.  God is working in powerful ways and we are so very grateful that He has allowed GHBC to reach out in faith in a noble effort to take the gospel to a people group that has so very little exposure to the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ.

I look forward to being in church Sunday and preaching from Revelation 12:1-9 which is a riveting passage of Scripture. I am excited to be able to preach God’s Word.

I, along with about 2700 people, plan to be at church Saturday night for the Tim Hawkins concert!  Tim Hawkins always does a great job, and people are encouraged and laugh a lot.  Proverbs 17:22 says, “A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.”

The Disciple Now Weekend was outstanding. I appreciate Daniel VanCleave and all of you who worked so hard to make it such a huge success.  I was able to watch the service on live streaming while in Asia; it was such a powerful service hearing all the testimonies and seeing the many baptisms.  God is stirring in our midst at GHBC as evidenced by the number of students being saved, those following Christ in baptism, and those committing to serve the Lord in full-time missions!

Do not forget to spring forward Saturday night by setting your clocks ahead one hour.

Revelation 7:9-10:  After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’
