Sunday will be a great day of worshipping Jesus and celebrating our mothers on Mother’s Day. I’m looking forward to preaching a sermon entitled “It Is Well” from Psalm 42. It is a message of hope and encouragement not only for our moms, but for all who attend. Our worship ministry will lead us in a new song by the same title, “It Is Well.” There is a powerful line in the song that says, “The wind and the waves still know His name.”
We have had such a busy and productive spring at Great Hills. I am so grateful for our church and all the work of ministry done in Jesus’ name. Our Radiant Kids choirs did another fantastic job Sunday night as they presented the musical Nic at Night in which the gospel was powerfully shared. Thank you to Susan Murray, Tonya Hartsfield, and all the adults who worked so hard to make this presentation possible.
Our deacons are leading the way in serving by helping Jollyville Elementary School with various service projects on Saturday, May 16. Great Hills has adopted this school and has committed to minister to them and serve them. We are showing the love of Jesus in practical ways. I’m looking forward to helping out as well.
I hope you have a great weekend. Please take some time before Sunday to read Psalm 42. It will encourage you (especially verses 5 and 11).
See you Sunday!
