This Week @ Great Hills

October 10, 2014

On Sunday we will study Revelation 7:9-17 as we peer into the scene of where a multitude of people are converted to Christ during the Great Tribulation. These future events that we are studying in the book of Revelation remind us of a truth that is comforting to us today, and that is that no matter how bad things get, God is always in control, and God always wins! I hope you are encouraged by this truth from the Word of God. God wins. And because He wins, you as a follower of Christ also win!

This week, I was walking away from a hospital after praying with a lady whose husband of 51 years is about to die and go into eternity. I was thinking of our church and how I want our church to be blessed, and God spoke to my spirit and reminded me that He can do all things. It encouraged me and reminded me of Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  No matter what trial or difficulty you are facing, please know that God sees you, He loves you, and He will be victorious on your behalf.

We are having a night of praise and worship this Sunday at 6:00pm followed by a one- hour town hall meeting. This will be a good and informational time and it will allow me an opportunity to share some news with you about our church and our future as a church. Please be in prayer for this time as we look at some exciting things regarding our future.

Finally, on Wednesday night I saw a group of guys who work in Awana recreation. It reminded me of the scores of volunteers that we have that make GHBC the church that she is. Please know how much I appreciate you. Without your faithful service, attendance, and giving we would not have a church.  The physical buildings are only an asset for our church, but not the church.  You are the church!

Looking to God for miraculous things,
