This Week @ Great Hills

October 3, 2014

God’s Word is powerful. It convicts us of sin, points us to Jesus for salvation, and comforts those in distress. I am so honored to be able to preach God’s Word at Great Hills. On Sunday, we will study Revelation 7:1-8 where God in His wrath, remembers mercy and seals 144,000 Jewish witnesses during the Great Tribulation. I will preach the Gospel to the lost, encourage Christ-followers, and seek to glorify the Lord in this message. Pray for me please. Come and bring someone with you.

Recently I have been able to meet with and encourage pastors from across the great state of Texas. These are very tough days in which we live. Many men are very faithful to Jesus and to preaching the Bible, and yet they are facing tremendous pressures. I am so blessed to be able to encourage them by bragging on you, the church at Great Hills, and how God uses you in powerful ways as we worship Jesus, study and apply His Word, and make disciples of the nations. Pray for me, please, on Wednesday, October 8, as I preach in chapel at Southwestern Seminary and fellowship with some of our Great Hills members.

We have many exciting things happening in our church. Please plan to come next Sunday, October 12, at 6:00pm for a time of worship followed by a town hall meeting where I will share with you some very important things related to the future of GHBC. Also, go ahead and sign up for our Fun Day for All at Crowe’s Nest Farm in Manor on Saturday, October 18, from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

Looking forward to Sunday. God is working. He is honoring His Word and His church. The best is yet to come!
