This Week @ Great Hills

October 7, 2016

Psalm 16:11 states, “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”  I am grateful to God for His good hand of favor and blessing upon our Great Hills family.  Our town hall meeting went very well Sunday evening.  We had a good turnout and many expressed various opinions on a number of matters.  Most of the discussion centered around the changing of our name from Great Hills Baptist Church to Radiant Church.  Thank you for coming and giving me your feedback.  Please keep praying about this important matter.  Also pray for your staff as we continue to seek the Lord–to hear from Him and to lead well.

Lisa Hall, who serves on our Finance Committee, and I were talking on Sunday.  She expressed how God has blessed our church in that we have raised a little over one million dollars cash for our Building Vision goals.  When you think about it, that really is an amazing thing!  Thank You, Lord, and thank you, church family, for giving above and beyond so we can spruce up our church.  We are less than $70,000 short of reaching our $1.2 million goal.  Please keep giving and supporting our church budget, missions, and Building Vision.

On Sunday we will continue our CROSSFIT study.  The Scripture text is Ephesians 2:13-18, and the title of the sermon is “Sweet Redemption.”  We will cover the “R” in CROSSFIT which stands for Redemption.  I am really looking forward to sharing this message with you and to incorporating some pictorial illustrations from my recent trip to Washington, DC.  You will have to come Sunday to see how it all ties in!

There are many exciting events and ministries happening in and through our radiant church.  I will mention our Tuesday night outreach during the month of October.  We had a wonderful time on Tuesday as God gave us many divine appointments.  Come join us for an hour of visitation as we go and love on our community, and share the good news of Jesus and His love.

See you Sunday.
