I recently had the great privilege of being a part of the Children’s Choir musical at Great Hills. Parablelooza was a game show and musical all wrapped up into one. It was high energy with kids playing games on stage for points. “Orange Crush” edged out “The Green Machine” by 7 points. There were no real prizes…only bragging rights! But everyone was a winner because it was an awesome night. What an incredible job they did!
I got to play Shane Schroeder, the game show host. My wardrobe designer, Debbie Hurt, fitted me with a blast from the past blue tux jacket, gold lame’ shirt and a huge velour black bow tie. It was kickin’!
But the biggest win of it all was hanging out with about 45 of the coolest kids on the planet. We are blest with some great children at GH! It was a great opportunity for me to spend some time with them as well as their families.
Thank you Susan Murray, Audrey French and Debra Howard for directing the choirs this year. I also want to thank their workers: Marie Shields, Castle Cuevas, Naomi Lovato, Walt Manly, Sarah Sneed, Megan Cheney, Lindsay Barker, Mari Bilderback, Aurora Jackson, Lauren Jones and Ester Lovato
And thank you Laura Bruner for directing the drama. Great job everyone!
Our prayer is that the truths of the parables taught throughout the musical will be a strong foundation for our children to become radiant followers of Jesus Christ!
