Worship Ministry
Our purpose and passion is to worship God in spirit and in truth. Worship is more than just what happens on Sunday, it’s a lifestyle. Worship is the first of the three overarching principles of Great Hills.
The modern English derivation of the word “worship” comes from the Old English word “woerthsip”— in essence, “worth-ship”. It means to honor something’s “worth” or value. We worship God by demonstrating His value to us and glorifying Him in heart, word, and deed.
Worship is a very important part of the life of a follower of Jesus. We were created by God to worship Him. He is worthy of both our collective worship with other believers and our private worship in our quiet times or devotional times with Him.
Psalm 95:6 states, “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.”
